In the Superleague Darts High Wycombe A faced a tough away match at league leaders Buckingham.

Buckingham ultimately proved to be too strong for Wycombe as they ran out 5-2 winners after dominating the later stages of the match.

It was hard to see the match playing out in the way it did after High Wycombe made a battling start to proceedings.

Dan O’Connell and Ade Darby both fought back from being 3-1 down in the first two matches of the tie to win 4-3 and hand High Wycombe a 2-0 lead.

The team were unable to build on O’Connell and Dayby’s efforts though as Buckingham ultimately showed their greater quality.

High Wycombe B’s weekend could not have been more contrasting as after going 3-0 down against Aylesbury Rivets they fought back to take a 4-3 victory.

Craig Cox threw an impressive 29.04 dart average as he kicked of the Wycombe fight back before Gary Price, whose win included a classy 12 dart leg, drew them to within a point.

Jon Woodbridge levelled up the scores and Steve McLeod sealed a fine comeback win with a typically imposing display.

In Division One of the Wycombe & Amersham Darts Club League, Phoenix got the better of Holmer Green to sit top of the table by a point.

Green’s James Reading was the standout performer as he recorded the highest outshot the league has seen this season (155).

However, Phoenix came away with the 9-5 win with the likes of Richard Tilbury and Simon White performing well.

Penn & Tyler’s Green SC got back on form as a 180 from Rob Brereton and a 104 outshot from Sarah Mallott lead the way to a 10-4 win over Cressex CC E.

Meanwhile, Riverside Club and Hazlemere CC could not be separated as they played out a nail-biting 7-7 draw.

In Division Two Winchmore Hill CC C maintained their unbeaten records as they also played out a 7-7 draw, while Judo Club won 9-5 at the Marsh Legion.

Marsh Legion then took advantage of a free week in the Super Singles Darts League as they made up their matches in hand over the other teams in the league.

Trevor Brereton twice held Dave Stopps to a 5-5 draw which included outshots of 120 and 100 before falling to an 8-2 defeat against Mick Carlton.

Blaine Jelly strolled to an 8-2 win over Andy Long, and Mark Luckett won by the same scoreline against Stopps.

Rob Brereton kicked off a double header with a 5-5 draw against Pat O’Reilly before coming from behind to record a 6-4 victory over John Beattie.
