Ella Whitaker was the standout performer as High Wycombe Baby Belles under-15s demolished Harpenden by a score of 62-0 on Sunday.
Whitaker scored four tries to add to a double from Lola Curtis and respective scores from Ciara Higley, Melody Czakan, Erin McManus and Beth Johnson as the Belles ran in 10 tries. Czakan and McManus added the extra 12 points as they shared the kicking duties.
The Belles’ domination owed much to the link up play between their forwards and backs, as the two units combined superbly to keep the Harpenden defence under consistent pressure.
Despite not conceding a single point throughout the match, Wycombe did have to rely on a strong defensive effort to keep a fluent Harpenden attack at bay early on.
This defensive solidity helped form the back bone for what was a hugely impressive display of attacking rugby.
