A free week in the Wycombe and Amersham Darts Club League saw a number of teams take the chance to make up their games in hand.

After losing to Hazelmere CC in their previous fixture, Holmer Green Legion A had an immediate chance to get revenge on their Division One rivals as they met again.

They managed to do just that as a fine induvial performance from Richard Tilbury helped lead them to an 8-6 win.

Division Two saw a top-of-the-table clash between Cressex CC C and an unbeaten Winchmore Hill CC.

It was Cressex who came out on top as they produced some excellent darts to run out 8-6 winners and close the gap at the top to eight points with one game remaining.

Holmer Green Legion B recorded a dominant 12-2 victory over Bourne End CC to move up to third place.

Elsewhere, Dan O’Connell got High Wycombe A’s only point as they fell to a 6-1 defeat against Wolverton, while High Wycombe B picked up a comfortable 5-2 win over Aston Clinton B.

The Super Singles Darts League played out its pair’s competition over the weekend as five teams faced off in four leg matches.

After several hours of high quality competition Leigh Ross and Andy Long reached the final where they took on Mick Carlton and John Beattie.

A dominant start from Ross and Long, including a 120 outshot from Long, led the pair to a 2-0 lead before Carlton and Beattie battled back to make it 2-2 heading into the final leg.

An evenly contested match could have swung either way at the last but it fell to Ross who held his nerve superbly to wrap up the win with a double top finish.
