Aylesbury Grammar School have been crowned Bucks Squash league Division One champions for the second year in a row.

They have maintained a 100 per cent record over the course of the season and now enjoy an unassailable 52 point lead over closest challengers Uxbridge.

Chesham Bois 1B were on the receiving end of a 17-7 defeat to club-mates 1A, while Beaconsfield Lions continued their revival with a 19-9 win over Gerrards Cross.

Elsewhere, Beaconsfield Tigers’ poor finish to their Division Two campaign reached a fresh low as they lost 16-4 to Aylesbury Firsts.

It was a far better weekend for Chesham Bois Mavericks as they clinched the title with an 18-8 victory over Holmer Green Twos.

The success means there will now be two Bois teams in Division One next year. Chesham 1879 and RAF both finished in the bottom two spots despite winning their respective matches.

Rivets will have to wait and see if they will be crowned Division Three champions as Beaconsfield Trojans still have to play their game in hand.

They require a maximum 18 point victory over Wycombe Squash and Racket Club’s (WSRC) Fourths to clinch top spot.

They will be confident of getting the points they require after their recent meeting with WSRC ended 19-1.
