Chesham United ended a dismal run of six Southern Premier Division matches in a row without a win as they squeezed to a narrow 1-0 success over Weymouth.

Kelvin Bossman got the only goal for the Generals on Saturday in a win which leaves them 13th in the table.

Goals from Jack Mullan, Alex Paine and Tony Mendy (2) helped Chalfont St Peter over the line in a competitive 4-2 victory over Leighton Town in the Southern Division One Central.

The result looked in doubt when Leighton’s Ben Gallant made it 3-2 with a minute remaining before Mendy struck in the second minute of injury time for the Saints to seal the win, and earn himself the league’s golden boot.

Chalfont finish the season one place outside of the play-off places.

Beaconsfield SYCOB were held to a 2-2 draw by 14th placed Bedford Town in the same division.

Aaron Berry got both the goals for SYCOB as he made it three braces in three matches having scored both goals in a 2-1 win over Aylesbury United last Thursday.

Marlow ended their season in a poor manner as they suffered a 3-0 defeat against Eversham Town in the Division One South & West.

There was a shock for Holmer Green as they came out on the wrong side of a nine goal thriller against the South Midland Premier League’s bottom side Bedford.

Holmer have conceded 12 goals in their last three matches and despite grabbing four goals through Dean Allen, Dean Powles, Greg Deer and Andy Shed lost 5-4.

Martin Girggs’ 30th goal of the season was not enough for Risborough Rangers as they lost 3-1 against Stotfold Town in the South Midland Division One.

Amersham Town did not play over the weekend and will return to action on Wednesday when they take on AFC Hillgate.
