The National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) have won the 2016 inter Spinal Unit Games.
The centre, which is part of the Buckinghamshire NHS, took part in the three day event which saw over 90 patients from 13 different units across the UK and Ireland compete.
The competition is aimed at people who have recently suffered with spinal cord injuries and took place at Stoke Mandeville Stadium.
Staff members and in-patients supported the NSIC team for the entirety of the event which looks to introduce individuals to a wide-range of different sports, and is widely acknowledged as the flagship sporting event for recently paralysed people.
NSIC head physiotherapist, Dot Tussler, singled out the fine work of physiotherapist assistant Olivia Sklenar during the games.
She said: “Olivia managed the preparation and organisation of the team and provided exemplary leadership.”
