Temple Wycombe experienced a frustrating conclusion to the Berkshire Squash League season as defeat against Wellington saw them miss out on promotion.
The match pitted Temple, who finished last season second in Division 2A, against a Wellington team who were third from bottom in Division One in a promotion/relegation play-off.
Temple made a good start to the match as they collected wins in the early rubbers before an all too familiar collapse cost them their chance at promotion for the second year running.
Only John Ould and Simon Miller put up anything close to resistance against a well-drilled Wellington side who romped home to a 20-5 victory to retain their place in Division One.
