Spectators at Wormsley cricket ground were treated to an exhibition of big-hitting when T20 World Cup winners Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo descended on the ground.

Cricketing royalty in their native West Indies, the pair made themselves just as comfortable in the unfamiliar Stockenchurch surroundings as they took part in the private match.

Both were in fine form and hit six after six to the delight of the watching crowds before spending time signing autographs and taking pictures with fans after the match.

Bravo and Gayle have made a name for their powerful stroke play and were part of the team which dramatically beat England in the T20 World Cup final in April.

Wormsley CC are set to welcome more big names to their picturesque ground on Sunday, June 26 when a Barbados Legends team take on a PCA England masters side.

The event will celebrate both the 80th birthday of Sir Garfield Sobers as well as 50 years of Barbadian independence. For more information visit www.wormsleycricket.co.uk.
