Princes Risborough racer Geri Nicosia failed to produce his best form at Snetterton, but still came away with valuable Ginetta Junior Championship points.

The 17-year-old qualified ninth at the two race event and translated his grid position to a pair of eighth place finishes over the course of the weekend.

He is currently sixth in the overall drivers’ standings after six races in the championship.

The JHR Developments driver will hope to bridge the 48 point gap to Daniel Harper in fifth in the remaining four races of the season.

His next chance to do so comes at Knockhill Circuit on the weekend commencing Saturday, August 13.

Championship leader Will Tregurtha enjoyed a profitable weekend as he claimed 57 points to extend his lead to 23 points.
