Chesham United made it three games in a row without defeat as they picked up four points from two Southern Premier Division matches.

Drew Roberts got the ball rolling on Saturday by scoring either side of a Sam Youngs’ effort to hand the Generals a 3-0 win over Dorchester Town.

Andy Leese’s side dominated proceedings and headed into Tuesday night’s clash with Hitchin Town in high spirits.

They had to fight back from a goal down to claim a hard-earned draw, however, as Roberts struck again to secure a point which leaves Chesham sixth.

Chalfont St Peter maintained their 100 per cent start to the Southern Division One Central campaign with wins over Ashford Town and local rivals Beaconsfield SYCOB.

Saturday’s meeting with Town saw Chalfont come out on the right side of a five goal thriller as Dave McDonnell, Tony Mendy and Kofi Lockhart-Jones all netted in a 3-2 win.

Their clash with SYCOB proved to be a far less attacking affair and the Saints grabbed the winner in dramatic fashion late on.

Adam Kirby got the only goal of the game in the third minute of added time to secure a win which leaves his side three points clear at the top of the table.

In the same division, Marlow had more mixed fortunes as they drew one and won one of their two matches.

The point against AFC Dunstable provided particular frustration for manager Mark Bartley as Isaac Osei-Tutu and Devontae Romeo’s goals were cancelled out in a 2-2 draw.

Osei-Tutu was among the goals again on Tuesday and helped Marlow to a 2-1 win over Kidlington. Max Francis got the home side’s other goal before Joseph Francis was sent off late on.

Holmer Green were no match for Berkhamsted in the South Midland Premier League as they went down to a 2-0 defeat on Saturday.

A late own goal gave Risborough Rangers their third win in a row in the South Midlands Division One as they beat Bedford FC 2-1.

Rangers were pegged back to 1-1 after Tom Brindley had given them a first half lead with a penalty, but some great work from Gary Rymer forced the winner in injury time.

Amersham Town’s South Midlands Division Two campaign got off to a nightmare start as they shipped eight goals in two games.

They kicked off their season with a 4-0 defeat at Pitstone & Ivinghoe before going down to a 4-1 loss to Tring Corinthians on Tuesday.

Hellenic League Premier Division side Flackwell Heath bounced back from a 4-0 defeat against Brimscombe & Thrupp with a 5-0 trouncing of Ardley United on Tuesday.
