Current Team GB men’s hockey coach Andy Halliday was in attendance as Bisham Abbey played host to a charity match on Sunday.

An England Masters team took on a Hockey for Heroes side, which included two-time Olympian Callum Giles, at the Team GB training base.

Giles made 143 appearances for England in his playing career, and showed he still had plenty of quality as he scored twice to help his side to a 3-2 victory.

The day was sponsored by regenerative medicines company Celixir, who have now signed a multi-thousand pound partnership with Hockey for Heroes, and aimed to raise funds and increase the reach of the charity.

Hockey for Heroes managing director, Gary Ryder, said: “Hockey for Heroes would like to thank Celixir for their sponsorship of our charity.

“This multi-year sponsorship allows us to increase our previous target and help 3,000 injured service personnel a year.”
