Tyrrell Hatton made an excellent three under par 69 on the opening day of the BMW PGA Championship at a sun-kissed Wentworth.
The 25-year-old currently sits three shots off leader Johan Carlsson who shot a brilliant 66.
Hatton came so close to winning a BMW after almost holing his tee shot on the 14th, the ball flicking the edge of the cup before finishing a few inches from the hole.
The Harleyford professional will be hoping to keep up his good form but faces stern competition from the likes of Henrik Stenson and Thomas Pieters who both finished with rounds of 68 on day one.
