Tyrrell Hatton will be making his debut at the US Open this week, the second major of the year, at Erin Hills, Wisconsin.
Hatton, who has fired his way into the world’s top 20 in the past 12 months has been paired with American golfer Brandt Snedeker and Swedish golfer Alex Noren in the first two rounds.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed an incredible rise up the rankings, winning his debut European Tour event in October at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Since then, Hatton has featured prominently at some of the world’s most prestigious tournaments and he now has the chance to win the US Open at his first time of asking.
However, he must contend with what will be an extremely stern test of golf when some of the world’s best golfers tee it up on Thursday.
The venue, Erin Hills, is hosting its first major and has been described as a brute by observers who say the course is too penal in places.
