Stoke Park’s Daisy Kennedy has proved to be the latest hot prospect to come off the conveyor belt of teenage talent at the club after she won the English Schools Golf Association (ESGA) Under-16 Girls’ Championship at Walsall Golf Club.
The 15-year-old, three-handicapper, who lives in Hazlemere, fired rounds of 73 and 76 for a five-over par total of 149, to win the title by an impressive five shots from her nearest rival, while her Stoke Park club-mate, Amelia Curtis, 13, finished 16th.
The club’s boys also enjoyed further success in the BB&O Junior Championship when it was held at Buckinghamshire GC, with 15-year-old Taylor Paul, who has a handicap of one, securing the coveted under-15 title.
Stoke Park’s director of golf, Stuart Collier, explained: “There is a great deal of talent in the junior ranks at Stoke Park currently and we are hugely proud of all the achievements of our young and talented players.”
