Beaconsfield Town enjoyed a superb week on the pitch with two fine victories in the league and cup.

The Rams secured their first home league win of the season with a comfortable 4-0 victory over neighbours Uxbridge.

On 26 minutes, the Rams had a penalty as Charlie Losasso’s legs were taken from under him. He picked himself up and sent McCarthy the wrong way to chalk up his seventh goal of the season.

The second half again saw Losasso force a fine save from McCarthy – on 48 minutes – but despite a lot of possession, the Rams couldn’t make it count though Spencer Bellotti saw a goal bound header on 62 minutes clawed away by McCarthy.

On 65 minutes The Rams finally added to their tally when captain Wes Daly finished off a move featuring Kofi Lockhart-Adams and Aaron Minhas to send a beauty flying past McCarthy. Four minutes later it was the turn of Minhas to fire home from 20 yards as The Rams turned up the heat on their visitors.

With seven minutes to go, Lockhart-Adams made it four as some superb one touch football saw Bellotti set up the youngster to calmly slot past McCarthy.

On Monday evening, Beaconsfield progressed to the second round of the Berks & Bucks FA Senior Cup with a narrow 1-0 win over Aylesbury United.

In a match played in persistent rain it was hard for either side to really get their game going and consequently the only real action of note came on 33 minutes when the in-form Andre Costa went on a mazy run and set up Dan Brown to poke home his first goal for the Rams, to set up a third win on the trot.
