Boxing spectators at Brighton at the weekend, thought they were seeing double when Amersham-based Evolve Boxing Academy members and identical twin brothers, Courtney and Lewis Frimpong, 27, both won Southern Area belts.
Courtney defeated and retained the 64kg belt which he won earlier in the year and his brother, Lewis, challenged and won the 60kg belt.
The belts are only for Elite boxers. The boxers have worked closely with Evolve Head Coach, Andy Gill for the past five years.
Andy said: “The club is delighted with the work and effort Courtney and Lewis have put in to achieving these feats.
"They are an inspiration for our young boxers. We will be speaking to the Guinness Book of Records about this achievement, it’s surely a first for twin brothers to win the Southern Area titles.”
The Evolve Boxing Club are continuing to coach and nurture some of south Bucks' young stars.
