Tyrrell Hatton enjoyed another a good week on the European Tour when he finished tied 11th in a world class field at the WGC-HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai.

Hatton, who had won the Italian Open and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in his previous two starts on tour, finished five under par at Sheshan International Golf Club, nine shots behind eventual winner Justin Rose.

The 26-year-old has shot up to 17th in the world thanks to those two wins but never really threatened to make that three in a row despite a good performances on the greens in China.

His 11th place finish did move up a place in the Race to Dubai rankings to fifth and he hopes to enhances his claims with a strong finish in Turkey this weekend as he contests the Turkish Airlines Open.

Rose beat Henrik Stenson, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka by two shots, turning around an eight-shot deficit.
