Pennand Tylers Green FC had a magnificent week in the league, winning two tough away games to keep tabs with the leaders.
Their week began with a tricky trip to Didcot Town Reserves. After a cagey opening 70 minutes, Penn found their feet with a short time remaining and Danny Blatchford was the hero, rifling home from the edge of the box to give Penn a superb victory.
Next up for Penn was a short drive to Thame Rangers.
Buoyed by their morale-boosting win over Didcot, following on from a sucker punch against Bicester the week before, the boys in blue recorded an excellent 3-1 win, with a Fred Tripp brace and a Casey Bocarro strike doing the damage.
There were some brilliant displays from the team over the two games, with keeper Matt Cannings in fine form between the sticks and Tripp, Blatchford and Bocarro the heroes in front of goal.
On Saturday, Penn face Buckingham Athletic at home in the Berks and Bucks Trophy (kick off 2pm).
