Badminton Wycombe player David Jones won a silver medal at the European Men's Team Championships in Kazan, Russia.
Jones, just turned 20, had won his first cap at senior international level when he was selected to represent England at these championships. England reached the finals having beaten Poland 3-0 in the quarter finals, and then France 3-1 in the semi finals.
In the final, England played a very strong Denmark team and lost 3-1, but not before putting up a really good fight.
He said: "It was disappointing to lose in the final but I am happy to have won silver in my first international outing."
The England Women's team, which had Wycombe's Abigail Holden and Freya Patel-Redfearn in the squad, lost to Denmark 3-0 in the quarter-finals.
