A brilliant all-round display by Saif Zaib helped Bucks gain a convincing six-wicket victory over Cambridgeshire in the first round of the Unicorns Counties KO Trophy at High Wycombe on Sunday.

The match, played on a cold grey day, did not start well for Bucks after they had put the visitors into bat.

When Cambridgeshire raced to 93-1 in 13 overs, it looked as though Bucks would be chasing around 300.

But the visitors slowed down as they lost wickets, but were still well placed at 157-4 in 30 overs.

Then left-arm spinner Saif sparked an amazing collapse which saw Cambridgeshire lose their last six wickets for 20 runs to be all out for 177.

Their last five wickets fell for four runs in 23 balls.

He then got the Bucks reply off to a flying start with 51 from 56 balls before holing out.

Shelvin Gumbs was caught in the deep for 36, but Garry Park (29no) steered Bucks to victory.
