SIMON Shaw, Phil Vickery, Joe Worsley and Riki Flutey will all start for The Lions in their final Test of the Series against South Africa at Ellis Park on Saturday.
The Series has already been lost, but Ian McGeechan has turned to the four Wasps players who earned his trust at Adams Park to salvage pride.
For Vickery, it will be a massive test against a player who gave him a torrid time in the first Test two weeks ago.
Tendai Mtawarira, nicknamed The Beast, smashed Vickery in the scrum and led to the Wasps man's substitution four minutes after half-time, but Lions coach Graham Rowntree expects him to rise to ‘a huge psychological challenge.’ Rowntree said: “Vicks is one of the strongest characters I have come across in the game, both as a fellow player and someone I have coached.
“It is going to be tough, let’s not beat about the bush, because it was an uncomfortable day at the office in Durban, as he admits himself. But there is no-one else out there with his strength of character. As an individual I have never come across anyone better.”
