ATHLETICS: Wycombe Phoenix Harriers finished third in their Southern Women’s Premier League match at Abingdon last week.
Phoenix women dominated the 1500m, 3000m and pole vault with first places in both the A and B strings.
The 1,500m honours went to Pippa Woolven for the As in 4.51.9 with Julia Blackstock winning the B string. In the 3,000m Sue Aperghis took A team success in 11.54.4 with Maggie Allen following suit for the Bs before Hannah Matthews and Jordanna Wetenhall completed the hat-trick with A and B wins respectively in the pole vault.
Another double came at U15 level with Sophie Matthews and Marissa Robertson enjoying A and B string success over 200m with Matthews also adding an A string 100m victory to her 200m A string success.
