WANDERERS and Wasps have called a press conference for tomorrow at which they will discuss their plans for a new shared stadium.
The two clubs and Wycombe District Council have been working secretly behind the scenes on plans for the proposed £30m development at Booker Air Park, and tomorrow signals their first public announcement about the proposals.
The conference will outline the next steps in the process to find and develop a new Community Stadium in Wycombe.
Wanderers and Wasps owner Steve Hayes will be joined on the top table by Wycombe District Council leader Lesley Clarke, Wanderers chairman Ivor Beeks, Karen Satterford, chief executive of the council, Charles Brocklehurst, head of property services at the council and Mark Rigby, from Wycombe Sports Developments Limited and chairman of Wasps.
Meanwhile the council has underlined its committment to the plan by advertising for a Stadium Planning Project Officer with a salary between £38,000 and £44,000.
