Wasps not fazed by Hodgson's availability

WASPS director of rugby Tony Hanks says he’s unconcerned that Charlie Hodgson will be available for Sale on Friday night.

The fly half was released by England this week and will faces Wasps at Edgeley Park in the Guinness Premiership.

Hanks said: “Charlie Hodgson has been playing really good football and he played really well against us too.

“But you can look at it two ways. Yes, one of their best players isn’t playing.

“But then the guy that comes in you know less about, there is a lot more unexpected, and usually when someone comes in like that goes and performs really well.

“At least with Charlie there we’ve got an idea of what’s coming.”
