AN Amersham cricketer has escaped the cold by winning his place on a ‘tour of a lifetime’.
Joseph Shuttle has been named in a 13-man MCC touring party that will take on the Thailand national side in three 40-over matches as well as playing four fixtures against a mix of the top club sides from around Thailand.
Amersham first team captain Luke Jackson said: “It’s one of the great experiences.
“I went on an MCC tour to West Africa in 2004 and it’s a fantastic thing to do. It really gives you the feeling of being a proper tourist.
“It’s a tour of a lifetime.”
The squad will also lead three coaching sessions at local primary schools.
