WASPS lock Simon Shaw has been left out of England's 32-man squad touring New Zealand for medical reasons, according to England manager Martin Johnson.
Shaw would have got his 50th cap had he played both Tests against the All Blacks, but Johnson says wants the World Cup winning lock fit for next season.
He said: "We felt it was best if he had a good off season and got himself in the best shape for another long season next year."
