BEIJING gold medallist Mark Hunter showed he is just as fast to the curry house as he is in a boat.
The Cadmore End rower, who won Olympic gold with Marlow Rowing Club's Zac Purchase in the lightweight double sculls, was tucking into an Indian at his favourite restaurant in Marlow within hours of touching down at Heathrow.
Abdul Rob, the shocked owner of Tiger Garden in West Street, Marlow said: "He came in with his parents straight from the airport still wearing his Great Britain tracksuit.
"He said he didn't have time to go home because he wanted a curry first and hadn't had one for a long time.
"He had his medal in his pocket and took it out to show us. It was great honour to have him here. I feel very proud."
