CHRISTIAN Wade could still end the season with a trophy after making the shortlist for ITV Try of the Season.

The Wasps winger hasn't played since the end of November after picking up an ankle injury, but he still had time to leave an indelible mark on the season with the second of his two tries against Gloucester last autumn.

Wade's effort has been nominated alongside tries by Bath's Nick Abendanon against Exeter Chiefs, Kelly Brown of Saracens against Northampton Saints, Exeter's Dean Mumm against Worcester, Northampton's Jamie Elliot against Gloucester and Leicester's Logo Mulipola against Exeter.

Phil Winstanley, the Rugby Director at Premiership Rugby, said: "Stunning one man finishes and tries that travelled through a dozen pair of hands stand side by side on this so I know how hard it was to decide on the winner. Looking at them, any of the top six would be a worthy winner.”

The winner will be announced by Premiership Rugby at their awards ceremony on May 15 at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
