WASPS played like they had something else on their minds at Sale yesterday, but Dai Young refused to blame speculation about a move to the Ricoh Arena for their 25-14 defeat.
Wasps have been strongly linked with a move to Coventry and speculation intensified last week, with reports suggesting a decision could be made as early as this week.
Young said: “We’re talking about Wasps. I don’t think there has ever been a week since I’ve been here that there hasn’t been some off the field distractions.
“The players have learned to take things in their stride.
“We’ve got our own job to do. Our job is to train hard and then go out and perform.
“The senior players have said to the club until anything is totally agreed, don’t tell us.
“That’s been a clear message from the playing group. Don’t tell them what might or might not happen. When it’s done, then tell them.”
