LEINSTER have described Wasps as a 'very, very dangerous' side ahead of their Champions Cup clash in Dublin on Sunday.

The Irish side were European champions in 2009, 2011 and 2012 but while they have come back to the crowd since then Wasps have been on the up.

Leinster captain Jamie Heaslip said: "They are a side that punishes your mistakes. They’ve got unbelievable finishers in Tom Varndell and Christian Wade on the wing.

“I think Varndell holds the record for most tries cored in The Premiership [he’s second]. I have played with Christian Wade on The Lions tour and got to see at first hand what he’s like in training.”

Meanwhile, coach Leo Cullen said: "Wasps have been playing pretty well in the Premiership.

"Watching their game against Bath, they showed some good intent, a very strong set-piece and they’ve a lot of dangerous threats all across the park. I think they’re very, very dangerous.”
