WASPS host their third from last game at Adams Park on Sunday when London Irish arrive in the LV=Cup.
The black and golds were narrowly beaten at Sale in their opening game in the competition and need a win to have a realistic chance of reaching the knockout stages.
For many of the players though, the competition is a route to the first team.
Fly half Alex Lozowski started his first match for Wasps against Sale and says the LV=Cup is his chance to shine.
He said: “These are very important games for emerging players.
“A number of very good players have used this competition as a breakthrough avenue to the first team.
“Hopefully if you can prove yourself in the LV=Cup then you will get a chance to prove yourself in the Premiership.”
