DAI Young has urged Wasps fans to come out in their numbers on Sunday night and turn Adams Park into a cauldron of hostility.

Gloucester arrive in the Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final and Young says the supporters could tip the scales Wasps’ way.

He said: “The supporters have been fantastic, especially with the lean period we’ve been in.

“They’ve been very vocal and on occasions we haven’t given them much to shout about.

“Last year we really built up that fortress mentality, but we’ve had one or two poor performances at home this year and our best performances have been away from home.

“This would be an ideal opportunity to change that and I’m sure they’ll be there in numbers – and we really need them.

“It’s going to be a tight game and we want to make it hostile. We want to make it uncomfortable for Gloucester – like they would if we went there – and the supporters have a big part to play.”
