JOE Launchbury has been nominated for the LV=Young Player of the Year Award.
Having achieved so much already, it seems odd to include the Wasps lock among the crop of emerging players, but he is still only just 23 and only made his England debut in the 2012 Autumn Internationals.
He is nominated alongside Billy Vunipola, Jack Nowell, George Ford and Anthony Watson, and Owen Williams.
Launchbury said: “To be nominated for this award along with the England Player of the Year Award 2014 is a big honour for me.
“There are so many young players in the Aviva Premiership now who are playing well week in week out, so you could name any one of those to be on this shortlist.”
The winner of the award will be announced tomorrow night.
