JAMES Haskell is one of three Wasps included in Stuart Lancaster’s initial 30-strong touring party to New Zealand this summer, while two more Wasps have been named in the squad taking on the Barbarians on Sunday.

Haskell joins Joe Launchbury and Matt Mullan in the group which flies to Auckland today, while Elliot Daly and Joe Simpson could face a star-studded Barbarians team at Twickenham this weekend.

Haskell's recall after more than 18 months is reward for his sparkling form this summer with an England recall.

The 29-year-old flanker hasn’t worn an England jersey since their Six Nations hammering by Wales at the end of last season’s Six Nations Championships.

However, his form this season has improved week on week and it’s likely he will now add to his 50 international caps during England’s summer tour to New Zealand, where he played for Highlanders in 2012.

He said: “I think I'm on an upward curve as to where I could go. I'm 29 but the way I feel I could keep playing for a lot longer. I'm loving my rugby and I'm very happy.”

England play three Tests against New Zealand on June 7, 14 and 21.
