WASPS believe prop Matt Mullan deserves a first England start after forcing his way into Stuart Lancaster’s squad for the autumn internaionals.
Mullan, right, has come off the bench for his country but has yet to be named in the starting XV.
Wasps director of rugby Dai Young said: “I’m really pleased for Matt Mullan, he has been execellent for us on and off the pitch and thoroughly deserves it.
“He’s been around the fringes and come off the bench a few times and done really well, so I hope he gets an opportunity to start.”
Joe Launchbury and James Haskell are also in the squad.
Young said: “There’s not a lot we haven’t said about Joe.
“He came back after three weeks out at the weekend and made more tackles than anybody else in Europe. We all know how good he is.
“James may or may not be available for the first game, but I’m sure he’ll figure at some part during the autumn. I’m really pleased for all three of them.”
