IT could be one in, one out for the Wasps pack this weekend.

Jonathan Poff is struggling to be fit for the Gloucester match after breaking his nose, but lock Ross Filipo is in contention again after making a quicker than expected return from a shoulder injury.

Poff left the field in the first half of Wasps’ defeat to Northampton with blood streaming from his nose, and although he came out again for the second period he only last two minutes before giving it up.

Director of rugby Dai Young said: “Poff is a bit of a worry with a badly broken nose.

“He’s struggling breathing. He feels he’s going to be in a position to play, but that decision can’t be taken until the end of the week.”

However, Filipo would be a welcome return after being out of action since November.

At the time Wasps thought it would be a season-ending injury.

Young said: “I think he’ll be available for selection. He’s been a long time out and it will be nice to see him back.”
