There are not many things you can still get for a tenner – two thirds of a match ticket to watch Wycombe Wanderers, three pints of Tetleys and a packet of crisps in Scores or a Wycombe scarf in the club shop.
Or you can use your £10 to join the newly merged Wycombe Wanderers Trust.
A lot of hard work has gone into the merger of the Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust (WWST) and Wycombe Wanderers Founders Trust (WWFT).
It is hoped that the one entity will remove any confusion there was in the past. We are working to help the club in the future and act as a go between the club and supporters.
The football club is extremely ambitious and there promises to be some major decisions in coming months and years. We want everyone to be able to have a say in those decisions. You can do that by joining the trust.
Obviously there are running costs for the Trust. We hope that the nominal annual fee of £10 is small enough to persuade every single supporter to join.
The Trust retains all previous rights of WWST and WWFT. That includes the two directors that have been previously elected to the football club – Keith Blagbrough and Ian Mather. A reminder that anyone who is a member of the new trust can put themselves forward for election to the Trust Board at the time of the AGM. And any Trust director can put themselves forward for election to the football club board.
Ian Baker is on the Board of Wycombe Wanderers Trust. For further details about the Trust and how to join please see the new website at www.wycombewandererstrust.com.
