Julie Benz has admitted she is enjoying "stealing" acting tips from her Desperate Housewives co-stars.

The Dexter actress has been shooting a lesbian storyline for the show in the States and says she loves her new TV home.

She said: "All the actresses on Desperate Housewives are women who have inspired my work - I've stolen from all of them at some point in my career and I continue to steal from them right and left."

She went on: "They are amazing actresses, so for me it's just been a huge honour to work with them.

"It's an amazing place, [it's been] an amazing transition going from [Dexter], this very male world, to this very female world."

The actress talked about her on-screen relationship with Dana Delany and her new role as blonde stripper Robin Gallagher ahead of a special Dexter Q and A at the Paley Centre For Media's PaleyFest 2010 in LA.

"Dana is great to work with, we have a lot of fun. I think they're doing such an amazing job. Its so graceful how their relationship plays out. I think Dana and I have great chemistry together," she said.

"I'm doing a couple of episodes, we'll see what happens. I can't say too much because I don't want to give away storylines."

Julie added that recording the more saucy scenes has been "fun".

"Kissing is kissing whether you're kissing a man or a woman. Its kissing, its fun," she laughed.
