Jonah Hill has admitted he found the gun-toting element of his latest film a challenge.
The actor, 28, stars as an undercover cop infiltrating a high school in 21 Jump Street, a film which he also co-wrote.
"I had a problem with that because there's this guy on set whose job it is to give you a gun, right? It's a real gun and I hadn't been around guns before," he said.
"I was like, 'It better not be loaded because I don't wanna die and I don't want any of my actors or anyone on the set to die'."
Jonah said he was not averse to doing a sequel to 21 Jump Street at some point but, as he was only 23 when he first became involved with the film, which he also executive produced, he needs a break now.
"Most of my twenties have been spent thinking about this movie in some capacity," said the Oscar-nominated Moneyball star.
"I'm just really glad that the movie's good because otherwise it would have been a waste of my entire twenties."
