NOVEMBER, the start of our new year and our speaker Mrs Sally Botwright gave us an excellent talk on London’s Oddities. She is a Blue Badge and City Guide and her knowledge of London is very extensive and most enlightening. Her very well illustrated talk kept us enthralled and we shall certainly hope to welcome her back.
We have plenty to look forward to this month with our monthly craft evening and literary lunch as well as a Christmas Quiz and a proposed visit to the Geffrye Museum just after Christmas.
We meet on the second Tuesday each month at 7:45pm in the Pastures Free Methodist Hall Downley. Why not come and join us you will be most welcome. The speaker for our December meeting will be Mr James with a talk titled ‘Panto History’.
