school crossing guards jobs threatened - petition (From Bucks Free Press)

Where I live in Wycombe, I've got a school nearby my house. During school term I just can't believe how the parents with children/pupils are going to cross the roads nearby without the lollipop lady who helps them. I have witnessed on many many occasions the drivers don't have no regard for the school children and parents who are taking their kids to school, the drivers if it were to be without the lollipop lady helping them these drivers will not stop or slow down for anyone. I think all they're worried about is wanting to get to their location wherever that is whether it's work or another school elsewhere. I don't understand if it's the people that live/drive through this neighbourhood or it's the same everywhere?
I think Bucks County Council might as well close the schools down as well like that they can save a bit more because if these schools don't exist, they can save all that money they pay the teachers and other staff etc...
Shame on this Government closing down every necessary agency, laying off all much needed frontline staff, I wonder how many people would agree with me that the Tories have got rid of the association of Great from Britain???
No more Great Britain, Just Britain.
