A delighted playgroup has sent Thank You cards to all the businesses in High Wycombe that helped them reach new heights through sponsorship.
Terriers Playgroup, located in St Francis Church Hall, in Amersham Road, celebrated its 40th birthday by throwing a big party on Saturday June 13.
Past and present members and staff of the playgroup raised a total of £1,043.14 at the party which they will use to aid staff training costs and to buy new playing equipment for the children.
Local supermarkets donated food to the event and local business sponsored through auction items including a flight in an aeroplane, tickets to West Wycombe’s Tribute show and cream teas at Cliveden.
Whilst parents enjoyed the cream teas and auction the children were entertained with face painting, marble painting, icing biscuits and a bouncy castle.
Katherine Keet, a supervisor at the playgroup said: “We would like to say a big thank you everyone that came and to everyone that supported us.”
As an extra celebration the playgroup also took their children on a day trip to Bekonscot Model Village on Wednesday June 3.
