MY favourite story of the entire year so far was the one last week concerning Miss Lacey Green, a student from Wisconsin in the USA, who is flying to the UK next month – so she can visit Lacey Green in Bucks.
Lacey, 24, was surprised to find the village she did a Google search of her own name on the internet. And now she is hoping to help out at St John’s, the village school, when she arrives on February 26.
But, I wonder, will she bring her brothers Studley and Wooburn along with her? The only similar story I remember was when our IT manager Rob Whittlesea’s car broke down a few years ago – and when he looked to see where he was, he found he was in the village of Whittlesea.
