Welcome to Nature Connections, the intent here is to celebrate the local area and also to consider the natural world on a wider scale. There are connections to nature on ethical, spiritual,aesthetic and perhaps most importantly practical levels. We sometimes tend to think of ourselves as human beings as somehow seperate a from the world around us and yet all our futures are entwined with the rest of the natural world with which we have connections and dependencies that we don't always realise. I hope over the coming weeks to cover topics from the political to the very apolitical and from the local to the global.

The perfect wife and mother, Rebecca runs a home, a bad temper and is working on her novel. She enjoys photography, playing the piano and likes almost anything that's out of fashion and uncool. She lives in Amersham with her husband and youngest child (aged ten). Her eldest, now 27, lives and works in Buckinghamshire.
