I drove down Cryers Hill earlier this evening and could see a very bright light on the horizon. As I headed through the winding road by the entrance to Hughenden Manor I could see that the light was shining from the top of the hill, near the Manor or it's gardens. It looked like a film company's light, so I presume they are filming a costume drama.

Later on I was driven the other way down the road, and as a passenger I could be a bit more nosy. The car park by the Church is full of trailers - the sort that house the rich and famous on film sets. So...I wonder who is there? Colin Firth? (yum), Keira Knightley? Well, shall look forward to watching Hughenden Manor on the big screen- or on my television- in the future.

Does anyone know what they are filming?

(IF YOU DRIVE PAST PLEASE DO NOT TRY AND SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING THERE UNLESS YOU ARE THE PASSENGER. IT IS A TREACHEROUS ROAD AND BOTH EYES NEED TO BE ON THE ROAD. IF YOU GLANCE AND STARE AT THE BRIGHT LIGHT IT MAY TAKE A SECOND OR TWO FOR YOUR EYES TO ADJUST BACK TO THE ROAD SO IF YOU'RE THE DRIVER PLEASE DO NOT LOOK!)

Er, wasn't Miss Marple a character in Agatha Christie's novels, including "The Pale Horse"?

Except The Pale House isn't a Miss Marple novel... I don't like the new Marple series- they change the locations, the characters and sometimes even the identities of the murderer!
