Wycombe District Council Sandwiches

Get a vending machine!
I think that I have some authority to make my two pennies worth here, although some of my former colleagues may grumble at me.
When I was a Councillor for WDC I put on a massive amount of weight during my 8 year tenure.
Partly I must add by my own greed and giving into temptation when going to some evening meetings.
I would sometimes not have a chance to grab a bite to eat before shooting off to a meeting, so I understand the need to grab a sandwich and a drink just before starting a Council meeting.
However..
I’m sorry to say that it’s not needed in its current form.
There was always far too much food and drinks – it was like being at a wedding each time, especially after a main full council meeting.
They should have a paid for selection, perhaps in a vending machine.
Why should the tax payer pay for Councillors to gorge themselves – they should pay for it out of their own pockets.
That’s not to say that all do, but I think that in these hard times that there should be a major change – you would be surprised as to the spread that is laid out for them each time – it’s a lot of
sandwiches, cans of drink and other foods.
WDC Councillors, dig deep into your pockets and pay for your food, don’t let us pay for you.
Also for the Charter Trustee’s amongst you – remember MAY weighing time!
