THIS is a sign that I have never seen on any road before.

It is not clear exactly what it means though I can imagine it is a disclaimer of some sort.

Maybe if there is a crash or damage to your vehicle, by having this sign there may be some argument that it was not the council’s fault since you had been told the road was awful!

Despite many millions of pounds being spent on Bucks roads, there could still be a large usage of this type of sign.

The two signs like this that I have seen are just north of Lane End on the Marlow Road.

The A40 from West Wycombe is equally as bad, as is Daws Hill Lane and the Marlow Road, south of Lane End.

Personally I have had three tyres damaged as a result of poor surfaces around Bucks.

The poor state of roads is unnecessarily adding to the numbers of hazards on the roads and now a significant distraction.

I do wonder how the money is being spent. — David Bates, by email
