When Wycombe Wanderers reached the semi-final of the FA Cup, 20,000 ‘fans’ made the journey to Villa Park to watch the match against Liverpool.

Several years later, when Wanderers played Chelsea in the semi-final of the League Cup there were, once again, many followers.

This season, there have been around 3,000 regular supporters attending league matches.

Do the missing 17,000 now really care so little about the future of the club that they cannot bother to attend any matches at all?

If they attended only three or four matches during the season it would make a huge difference to the club’s finances.

So, come on down to Adams Park, support the team again – there will never be a repeat of those cup runs unless these missing supporters put a little into the club.
