I am somewhat bemused by the decision of Bucks County Council to resurface Beech Avenue, Lane End, this week.
As a resident in this road I have to say I hadn’t noticed any problems with the surface or any potholes. This week we were treated to two days of extensive works resulting in a total resurfacing of the road.
However Simmons Way and the main road from Lane End towards Marlow have been left potholed and dangerous.
I was even more surprised on day two of the works to see two people from the council filming the process.
I seriously believe the money would have been better spent resurfacing roads used by more traffic and are ‘exciting’ to drive on given the requirement to swerve around the ever increasing number of potholes.
