As a resident of Beaconsfield and a keen cyclist I was delighted to see that the long awaited cycle lanes have started to appear. My feeling of euphoria was short-lived however as this morning I cycled down Burkes Road only to see that cars are parked in the cycle lane, rendering it completely useless and a complete waste of money. Hopefully this is just temporary and better parking restrictions will help to keep these life saving lanes free of cars and open to cyclists. — Russell Green, Beaconsfield
